Special Education RISE Teacher

QUALIFICATION:

• Meets all health, physical and background-check requirements
• Hold a current Tennessee Teaching Certificate in at least one area of Special Education
• Have successful teaching experience in Special Education
• Have both training and successful experience working with students with disabilities with moderate to severe behavioral problems
• Have thorough knowledge and understanding of and ability to apply Federal, State and local regulations regarding the identification, placement and discipline of students with disabilities
• Strong Interpersonal skills-ability to work effectively with a wide range of people (i.e., students, school administrators, teachers, other professionals in the school and community, support staff, parents, etc.)
• Strong written and verbal presentation skills
