Maryville High School Special Education Work-Based LearningTeacher
Full Time Position with benefits
Start Date: July 24, 2026

Current Tennessee Teaching Certificate: a variety of licenses can fulfill this role but prefer candidates to have Special Education Certification - 145 Interventionist 6-12,and/or 461 SPED Comprehensive 6-12
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
WBL Endorsement current or to be accomplshed prior to the start of the school year.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
Implement the WBL standards to a variety of students served through the special education programming.
Provide modifications and accommodations to support students in developing a work place skill set on the job site
Provide classroom instruction to support job site performance and skill set development
Maintain positive relationships with job sites
Work with the TSW grant staff to support student transition programming
Serve as a case manager for student, develop IEPs, and communicate effectively with all stakeholders
Work with administrators, instructional teams and support personnel to plan and implement programs and activities for students
Utilize technology to create a blended instructional learning environment
Analyze student data on a consistent basis to meet the individual needs of students and deliver appropriate instruction
Be an active member of the faculty and staff
Create and maintain a positive classroom climate through effective classroom management
Be self-reflective by participating in personal professional growth activities to learn new skills and improve teaching
Promote positive student, parent and community relationships through using effective written and oral communication
Build a positive work environment with the three teaching assistants that support the WBL program.
