This position would be fostering these 4 principles through leading our Health Careers Program. See below for the specific duties.

Teach and develop Health Careers coursework, including Foundations of Health Care Professions, Essentials of Health Care Practices, and Anatomy & Physiology, with an emphasis on hands-on, real-world learning
Design and maintain a rigorous, engaging classroom environment that prepares students for postsecondary health programs, certifications, and healthcare careers
Serve as the HOSA advisor, supporting student leadership development, competition preparation, and participation in local, state, and national events
Collaborate with school administration and counselors to recruit, advise, and retain students in the Health Careers pathway
Build and sustain partnerships with community healthcare professionals and organizations to provide guest speakers, mentorships, job shadowing, and experiential learning opportunities
Align curriculum with state CTE standards, industry expectations, and best practices in health science education
Support program growth and expansion, including the development of additional health science courses, certifications, or clinical experiences as enrollment and resources allow
