About Santa Fe South & Shidler Elementary

Santa Fe South Schools (SFS) is a tuition-free public charter school district serving students from Pre-K through 12th grade across South Oklahoma City. Founded in 2001, SFS is known for its strong academic expectations, student-centered instruction, and meaningful partnerships with families and the community. Across all campuses, Santa Fe South prioritizes rigorous instruction, data-driven practices, and the belief that every student can and will learn — a commitment embodied in the district’s At or Above academic framework.

Shidler Elementary is a PK–5 campus rooted deeply in the southside community it serves. Shidler is known for its strong culture of belonging, intentional relationship-building, and close family partnerships. Staff members are united by a shared belief that loving students well means holding them to high expectations and providing the structured support necessary to meet them.

As a growing campus, Shidler is building toward ambitious academic goals while maintaining a joyful and human-centered environment. Teachers at Shidler are mission-driven educators who are energized by the opportunity to serve their community and who believe deeply in students’ potential — even when the work is challenging.
