Santa Fe South Pathways Middle College is an Oklahoma Blue Ribbon School and a top 5% high school in Oklahoma, located on the Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC) campus. Through our Early/Middle College model, students can earn up to an associate’s degree before high school graduation—at no cost. In 2025, 76% of graduates earned an associate’s degree, far exceeding the national average of 23%. Our students outperform state averages in ELA, math, and science (97% meeting/exceeding targets).

Position Summary

The Math Teacher at Santa Fe South Pathways Middle College is a passionate, innovative educator eager to rethink high school mathematics and help redefine how Oklahoma prepares students for college-level quantitative work. This role thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment focused on rigor, relevance, and preparing students for postsecondary success through the Early/Middle College model.

Our math teachers do more than deliver standards—they build deep conceptual understanding, mathematical reasoning, and college-ready problem-solving skills. (Interest in coaching a sport is a plus, not required.)

Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality, engaging mathematics instruction aligned to Oklahoma Academic Standards, emphasizing conceptual understanding and real-world application
Prepare students for college-level coursework by building strong foundations in algebraic reasoning, quantitative literacy, and advanced mathematical thinking
Use project-based learning and inquiry-based strategies to make math rigorous, relevant, and intellectually engaging
Plan and internalize lessons with precision, anticipating misconceptions and differentiating for diverse learners
Analyze student data to adjust instruction and ensure mastery for all students
Provide targeted intervention and enrichment to accelerate achievement
Actively participate in coaching, feedback cycles, and professional learning communities to refine practice
Collaborate across departments to align math instruction with students’ postsecondary pathways and goals
Build a structured, joyful classroom culture with clear expectations, supported by the HOUSE system
Foster mentoring relationships, promote social-emotional growth, and communicate regularly with families
Contribute to campus initiatives, HOUSE activities, and shared decision-making

Qualifications
Required:
Oklahoma teaching certification in Mathematics (Middle School or Secondary)
Strong technology skills (Google Workspace)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Flexible, student-centered mindset with a strong sense of urgency
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment
Alignment with Santa Fe South’s mission and belief in high expectations for all students

Preferred:
High school math teaching experience (Algebra I–Precalculus, Statistics, or higher)
Experience preparing students for college-level math coursework
Familiarity with project-based or innovative learning models
Demonstrated openness to feedback and a strong growth mindset
