Oklahoma City, OK | 190–195 Day Contract (195 days for new teachers; 190 days for returning teachers)

Santa Fe South Pathways Middle College is a top 5% high school in Oklahoma, located on the Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC) campus. Through our Early/Middle College model, students can earn up to an associate’s degree before high school graduation—at no extra cost. In 2025, 76% of graduates earned an associate’s degree, far exceeding the national average of 23%. Our students outperform state averages in ELA, math, and science (97% meeting/exceeding targets).

Position Summary
The Science Teachers at Santa Fe South Pathways Middle College are passionate, innovative educators eager to transform how students experience science and help change how Oklahoma teaches the Sciences. This role thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment focused on rigor, relevance, and preparing students for college success through the Early/Middle College model. (Interest in coaching a sport is a plus, not required.)
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality, engaging science instruction aligned to Oklahoma Academic Standards, using project-based learning and hands-on experiments
Integrate innovative approaches to Science that connect to real-world issues and student experiences
Actively participate in coaching, feedback, and professional learning communities to refine practice
Plan and internalize lessons with fidelity, anticipating misconceptions and differentiating for diverse needs
Collaborate with teams to analyze data, adjust instruction, and support postsecondary goals
Use assessments to provide targeted interventions and enrichment
Build a structured, joyful classroom culture with clear expectations, supported by the HOUSE system
Foster mentoring relationships, promote social-emotional growth, and communicate regularly with families
Contribute to campus initiatives, HOUSE activities, and school decision-making
Qualifications
Required:
Oklahoma teaching certification in Science (Middle School or Secondary)
Strong technology skills (Google Workspace)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Flexible, student-centered mindset with a customer-focused approach
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment
Alignment with Santa Fe South’s mission
Preferred:
High school science teaching experience
Familiarity with project-based or innovative learning models
Openness to feedback and growth mindset
