Position Summary

The Middle School Math Teacher is responsible for delivering rigorous, standards-aligned instruction in mathematics while creating a structured, supportive classroom environment where students are challenged academically and supported individually.

This teacher uses data-driven instruction to accelerate student growth, helps students develop problem-solving and critical thinking skills, and fosters a positive classroom culture grounded in high expectations. The ideal candidate values collaboration, instructional coaching, and believes all students can achieve at high levels with the right support.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, standards-aligned math instruction for grades 6–8

Plan and implement lessons with intentionality, anticipating misconceptions and supporting all learners

Use formative and summative assessment data to monitor student progress and adjust instruction

Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs while maintaining high expectations

Build strong, trusting relationships with students and families

Foster a positive classroom culture that emphasizes growth, collaboration, and academic rigor

Collaborate with grade-level teams, instructional coaches, and school leadership

Participate actively in Santa Fe South’s coaching model and professional learning

Seek and implement feedback to continuously strengthen instructional practice

Contribute positively to campus culture and student success

Qualifications

Required

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

Oklahoma teaching certification (or willingness/ability to obtain)

Strong alignment with Santa Fe South’s mission

Preferred

Experience teaching middle school mathematics

Strong content knowledge in math and numeracy instruction

Experience working with diverse or high-need student populations

Growth-oriented mindset and openness to feedback

Demonstrated ability to hold students to high academic expectations
