ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Continue the tradition of fostering a comprehensive, articulated fine arts education program in grades 9th-12th.
The teacher must design lessons that cultivate self-expression and engage students in a process that develops self-motivation necessary for success in life.
Must be able to implement an art curriculum emphasizing direct experiences with a variety of media to promote the creative and expressive production of art.
Carry out assessments and product presentations that recognize the natural artistic development of children and also encourages growth by increasing perception and skills in the manipulation of ideas and materials.
Ability to manage classroom environment conducive to student learning and flexibility to work with several grade levels schedules and routines.
Knowledge of the Fine Arts Grade Level Expectations.
Commitment to Professional Development and school-wide improvement initiatives.
