The Raymore-Peculiar School District is seeking a highly qualified individual for the position of High School Industrial Arts Teacher to join our secondary education team for the 2026–2027 school year. The High School Industrial Arts Teacher will create a positive learning environment that prepares students with practical technical skills, workplace readiness, and real-world applications aligned to Missouri learning standards and Career and Technical Education (CTE) expectations.

Qualifications:

Missouri Career Technical Certificate or Certification in Industrial Technology Grades 9-12 preferred
Qualifications To Obtain Provisional or Temporary Certification will be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver engaging, standards-based instruction in industrial arts and technology education courses
Teach students proper use of tools, machinery, equipment, and safety procedures
Maintain a safe, organized, and productive classroom/shop environment
Integrate engineering, design, problem-solving, and technical skills into instruction
Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student learning needs and abilities
Utilize hands-on projects and industry-relevant experiences to enhance student learning
Assess student performance and provide timely feedback
Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress
Collaborate with administration, counselors, special education staff, and colleagues to support student success
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student performance and progress
Participate in professional development, faculty meetings, district initiatives, and school activities
Maintain inventory, equipment maintenance schedules, and supply requests for the industrial arts program
Support career exploration and workforce readiness opportunities for students
