Job Description
The Neosho School District is seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide services to students across the district. The Speech-Language Pathologist supports student success by assessing, diagnosing, and providing interventions for communication disorders in accordance with state and federal regulations. This position is an active member of the IEP team and collaborates closely with educators, administrators, parents, and support staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Evaluate students with speech, language, voice, and/or communication disorders
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Provide direct and consultative speech-language services to students
Develop instructional materials and targeted interventions to support student progress
Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring in compliance with IDEA requirements
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student outcomes
Supervise and support speech-language implementers/assistants as assigned
Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and professional development activities
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Valid Missouri Speech-Language Pathologist license
Missouri DESE Student Services Certificate (Speech-Language Pathologist) or eligibility to obtain
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of special education law, IEP development, and school-based service delivery
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-based educational environment
