The Kirkwood School District is hiring an English Teacher for the 26/27 school year to support Kirkwood High School.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, collaborative, and dedicated to building strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues while delivering engaging instruction aligned with district-approved curriculum.

Qualifications:

Valid state certification in English (Grades 9-12)
Strong organizational and classroom management skills
Understanding of Professional Learning Communities (PLCs)
Commitment to teamwork and continuous improvement

Responsibilities:

Teach district-approved English curriculum
Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment
Collaborate with colleagues and actively participate in PLCs

This is a full-time certified teaching position, with benefits, including:

Salary is based on the Certified Salary Schedule, dependent on relevant education & experience.
