The Dunklin R-5 School District has an opening for the position for a Middle School Art Teacher for 6th-8th grade students at Senn-Thomas Middle School for the 2026-2027 school year. This position may include additional coaching and sponsor responsibilities.

Starting Date: August 1, 2026

Certification: Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary The successful candidate will have MO DESE certification in Art and demonstrate the following:

Student-centered philosophy and desire to build relationships with students.
Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
Ability and desire to work as a member of a Professional Learning Community
Proficiency in quality instructional practices and ability to differentiate instruction to meet students' needs
Ability to work with students with a wide range of abilities
Ability to incorporate technology within the classroom as an instructional tool
Ability to track student data while providing resources to meet individual needs
Experience working in a middle school with knowledge of 6th - 8th curriculum is preferred

Salary Range: Commensurate with education and experience.
