The coordinator/teacher will manage the process of special education referrals and evaluations; develop appropriate programming for students from the IEP process through placement; and will ensure the provision of a free appropriate public education (FAPE) to all students who qualify for special education. The coordinator/teacher will assist students in making adequate progress towards their IEP goals, modifying behavior, and accessing the general education curriculum.The coordinator/teacher ensures compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
