Role Summary
As a Primary Teacher, you will lead a classroom within one of our seven dedicated primary schools (PreK-2). You will facilitate a nurturing, student-centered environment that focuses on foundational literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional growth. Working collaboratively with families, colleagues, and the community, you will help create a positive first learning experience that empowers our youngest scholars to succeed.
Why You’ll Succeed (Qualifications)
Certified Professional: Valid Missouri Teaching Certification (Early Childhood B-3 or Elementary Ed 1-6).
Degree Requirements: Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree, required; Master’s degree, preferred.
Adaptable Leader: You are comfortable and skilled in teaching any grade level within the K-2 span.

Your Impact (Key Duties)
Ignite Literacy: Guide students through the critical transition of decoding sounds to discovering the magic of stories.
Collaborate: Partner with your grade-level PLC to analyze student growth and pivot instruction in real-time to meet every learner where they are.
Utilize Resources: Leverage our district’s unique assets, like Little Creek Nature Area and our Early Education expertise, to make learning multi-dimensional and tactile.
Foster Belonging: Build a classroom culture where "Community" is felt through every morning meeting and shared success.

The Logistics of Your Success
Classification: Exempt, Certified Staff
Work Year: 10-Month Academic Calendar, 187 Contract Days
Salary: Based on the Teacher Salary Schedule, as outlined in district policy and the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Salary is determined based on experience and education.
