Job Description
Elementary Vocal Music Educator (Grades K-2): The Voice of Joy
Location: Central Primary School (Grades K-2)
Year: 2026-2027 School Year

In our primary buildings, music is more than a subject—it’s a language. We are looking for a vibrant, creative Vocal Music Teacher who can turn a classroom into a world of rhythm, melody, and movement. For many of our students, you will be the first person to teach them that their voice has power.
As part of the Ferguson-Florissant "New Chapter," you won't just be teaching solfege; you will be joining a visionary team dedicated to equity and innovation. If you believe that every child is a musician and that a song can build a community, your next movement starts here.
Role Summary
As a Primary Vocal Music Teacher, you will lead the music program within one of our seven dedicated primary schools (PreK-2). You will facilitate a high-energy, student-centered environment that focuses on foundational vocal technique, steady beat, and creative play. Working collaboratively with families and colleagues, you will create a joyful learning experience that builds confidence in our youngest scholars.
