Job Description
Frontier School of Innovation-Middle is looking for a Special Education teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. Starting salary is $61,750; commensurate with experience and education.
Qualification:
- Possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Possess a valid Missouri teacher certificate in Special Education.
Responsibilities:
- Plan a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.
- Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.
- Prepare for classes assigned and show written evidence of preparation upon request of immediate supervisor.
- Utilize various instructional techniques and instructional media consistent with the physical limitations of the location provided and the needs and capabilities of the individuals or student groups involved.
- Assess the students' progress regularly and provide progress reports as required.
- Take necessary and reasonable precautions to protect the students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
- Maintain accurate and complete records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulations.
- Comply with all district policies, rules, and regulations.
- Develop classroom rules and maintain order in a fair and just manner.
- Be available to the students and parents for education-related purposes.
- Plan and supervise purposeful assignments for teacher aide(s) and volunteer(s) and cooperatively with department heads.
- Participate in district and campus staff development.
- Attend staff meetings and serve on staff committees.
- Maintain a professional relationship with colleagues.
- Prepare and submit lesson plans in a timely manner on the platform the school utilizes.
- Maintain a minimum number of grades in the grade book promptly.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
