Job Summary:

At PPHS, our teachers are educational coaches. Students take an active role in their learning and coaches facilitate, encourage and provide opportunity and support.

Requirements

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Provide coaching and support for student academic growth and achievement.
  • Engage students in academic conversations that elicit critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and community partners in a co-taught, interdisciplinary instructional setting
  • Develop meaningful and supportive relationships with students
  • Collect and analyze student data to support instructional decisions
  • Maintain positive relationships with students, families, colleagues, and community partners
  • Provide appropriate accommodations, modifications, and interventions for English Learners, students with 504 Plans, and Special Education students
  • Performs other duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Current Indiana license required or in process 
  • 2+ years working in classrooms preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to collaborate and work well in a team
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

Work Environment:

Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for extended periods; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and or pull light to moderate amounts of weight (up to 20lbs)
