Description:

Assistant Band Director position is available at Westfield High School effectivefor the 2026-27 school year.

This is a full-time high school position that team-teaches:

Three concert bands

Percussion Ensemble

One general music elective (Music Theory, Electronic Music, etc.)

The position includes two stipends:

- Assistant Director of Bands

-Jazz/Pep Band

Westfield is the fastest-growing community in Indiana, and our high school is preparing for a multi-million dollar expansion and renovation that will include brand-new performing arts spaces. The future here is bright.

Our program continues to grow with incredible student participation and a deeply supportive booster organization. We currently offer:

3 Concert Bands

Percussion Ensemble

Jazz Ensemble

Pep Band

Indoor Winds

Indoor Percussion

2 Winter Guards

Marching Band

All winter ensembles compete nationally through WGI, and our marching band competes in ISSMA Open Class A and BOA each fall. We are active, competitive, student-centered, and committed to excellence.

We are looking for a motivated, high-energy educator who wants to be fully invested in a busy and thriving band and pageantry program. This is a place for someone who wants to teach, build relationships, collaborate, and help shape something meaningful.

You'll work with outstanding students, dedicated families, and a staff that cares deeply about each other and the program we are building together.

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Music Education
Current Indiana Teaching License
Individual must have excellent organizational and communication skills

Working Conditions:

This job is a permanent position.
