Job Description
Job Description: The K–6 Self-Contained Special Education Teacher provides specialized instruction, behavioral support, and individualized programming to elementary students with significant behavioral, developmental, or functional needs that require a substantially separate learning environment. Plan and deliver individualized, small-group, and whole-group instruction in multiple subject areas for students in grades K–6. Adapt or create materials that are developmentally appropriate and aligned with IEP goals and Indiana Academic Standards.
Start Date: As soon as a qualified applicant is secured.
License Requirements: Mild Interventions (K-6) required; Intense Interventions (K-6) preferred
Transfer: To request a transfer, send a Staff Transfer Form to Donna Sizelove at the Central Office in accordance with Master Contract provisions
(Appendix D).
Submit: Letter of interest, FLCS application for certified employment (available on the website), current resume, college or university
placement credentials, a copy of a valid Teacher’s License for the State of Indiana, and 2 letters of recommendation to:
