  • 185 Day Contract; prorated for this year

  • Salary commensurate with experience


Job Requirements:

  • Indiana Special Education teaching license


Job Responsibilities:


  • Create, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with IDEA and Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) regulations.
  • Deliver differentiated, research-based instruction tailored to students’ academic, behavioral, social, and functional needs.
  • Assess student performance using formal and informal tools and regularly monitor progress toward IEP goals.
  • Co-plan and co-teach when appropriate, ensuring accommodations and modifications are implemented in general education settings.
  • Complete required documentation accurately and on time, including case conference records, evaluation reports, progress reports, and service logs.
  • Serve as a case manager and active participant in Case Conference Committee meetings, communicating effectively with families and team members.
  • Develop and implement behavior plans, when needed, and support students with behavioral or emotional needs.
  • Maintain regular communication with families regarding student progress, services, and support.
  • Work collaboratively with speech-language pathologists, school psychologists, occupational therapists, and other service providers.
  • Uphold confidentiality, adhere to Indiana special education law, and ensure all services align with federal and state regulations.
  • Committed to Professional Learning Communities for school improvement.
  • Conducts assigned activities from the administration, in conformity with the approved policies of the Board of Education and State and Federal Law.
  • Participates cooperatively with the principal in performance evaluations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned at the request of the superintendent, superintendent designee, or principal.
  • Supports the school and district.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
