Job Description

Position: Technology & Engineering Teacher (CTE/STEM)


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Develop and deliver standards-aligned curriculum integrating engineering design, automation systems, robotics programming, and advanced manufacturing concepts.
  • Incorporate project-based learning, industry-relevant problem-solving, and real-world applications into daily instruction.
  • Utilize modern instructional technologies, simulation platforms, and/or robotics systems to enhance student learning.
  • Maintain program alignment with Indiana Department of Education CTE standards and pathway requirements.
  • Collaborate with local business and industry partners to ensure the curriculum reflects current workforce needs and emerging technologies.
  • Support development of dual credit, certifications, and/or work-based learning opportunities for students.
  • Assist in equipment planning, lab organization, and safety compliance for manufacturing, robotics, and engineering labs.
  • Guide students in career exploration related to engineering, automation, robotics, and advanced manufacturing fields.
  • Work collaboratively with school counselors and administrators to support students.
  • Maintain required program documentation, assessment data, and certification records.
  • Participate in professional learning for emerging technologies and best practices.
  • Foster a classroom culture emphasizing innovation, teamwork, and technical skill development.
  • Support recruitment and promotion of engineering, robotics, and manufacturing programs within the school and community.


Preferred Qualifications: Technology Education 5-12, Workplace Specialist: Engineering 9-12, Workplace Specialist: Industrial Automation & Robotics, CTE: Trade & Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing 5-12, and/or Workplace Specialist: Advanced Manufacturing 9-12
