STEM Teacher

Location:

North Putnam Middle School

Education/License/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution – multiple certifications preferred.

Valid Indiana Educator’s Professional Certificate in the appropriate coverage.

Experience as a successful educator.

As set by state certification authorities.

Certification and Qualifications:

Indiana Teaching License-Middle School Certification; demonstration of leadership; strong skills in interpersonal communication and collaboration; history of using differentiated strategies in instruction; demonstrated ability to integrate technology in instruction.

Performance and Responsibilities:

Demonstrably passionate about computer science and its potential to empower students (preferred).
Creative and resourceful educator with a knack for making complex concepts accessible and engaging.
Possess excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.

Special Skills, Training or Aptitudes Required:

Design and deliver dynamic lessons that integrate Project Based Learning curriculum across science, technology, and engineering concepts.
Lead and coach our robotics team, fostering collaboration, creativity, and problem solving through hands-on learning.
Develop and implement engaging computer science activities and projects (preferred, but not required).
Collaborate with other teachers to build a comprehensive and cohesive STEM program.

Responsibilities:

Works collaboratively with other teachers to provide a stimulating teaching and learning environment for students.

Salary:

Commensurate with experience
