General Description of Position Duties: Assume all tasks of a general education teacher with regards to instruction, developing and implementing lesson plans, assessing student progress, grading, supervision, meetings, and collaboration with parents and colleagues to ensure student success.

Special Skills, Training or Aptitudes Required or Desired: Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment. Successful integration of technology in the curriculum and classroom. Implementation of solid classroom management skills required. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with grade level instructional teams, students and parents.

Physical and Mental Efforts:

·       This position requires a high level of physical and mental endurance.

·       Sitting in an office/classroom environment, performing tasks on a computer or other technical devices.

·       Frequent standing, particularly for sustained periods of time.

·       Frequent walking, moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one part of the building to another.

·       Constantly talking, expressing, or exchanging ideas to colleagues and/or students accurately, loudly, or quickly.
