Position Overview
Eminence Community Schools is seeking a student-centered, compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate is dedicated to meeting diverse learning needs and helping students grow academically, socially, and emotionally in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with students, families, and staff
- Provide specially designed instruction aligned to student needs and state standards
- Use data to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
- Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive practices
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and district requirements
- Communicate regularly with families to support student success
Qualifications
- Valid Indiana teaching license with Special Education certification or ability to become licensed
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience or knowledge of inclusive classroom practices
- Commitment to continuous growth and professional learning
- Passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs
