Job Description

MONROE COUNTY COMMUNITY SCHOOL CORPORATION
Elementary Strings Instructor
POSITION DETAILS:
Instrumental strings instructor, grades 5 and 6 for first/second year strings, teaching all
four of the string instruments in an orchestra class setting: violin, viola, cello, and bass.
Multiple positions available.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must be able to tune and teach all of the instruments using our preferred
method books: “Essential Elements For Strings”, Book 1 for first year; “All For Strings”,
Book 2 for second year. Must be able to teach virtually if necessary. Each class meets
2 mornings/week before school. Bachelor’s degree in music preferred, position is
salaried per the MCEA/MCCSC collective bargaining agreement ECA stipend schedule.
