Job Description

Job Summary:

This position supports students in earning the Ivy Tech Business Administration Certificate while also completing the Next Level Program of Study (NLPS) Business Administration

 

Pathway requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach high school courses within the Next Level Program of Study Business Administration Pathway, including but not limited to:
  • Principles of Business Management
  • Management Fundamentals
  • Accounting Fundamentals
  • Ability to teach the following courses in dual credit format. Ivy Tech courses leading to the Business Administration Certificate, associated with the courses above, including but not limited to:
  • BUSN 101 – Introduction to Business
  • BUSN 105 – Principles of Management
  • ACCT 101 – Financial Accounting
  • BUSN 108 – Personal Finance
  • MKTG 101 – Principles of Marketing
  • Deliver curriculum aligned to both Ivy Tech and Indiana NLPS standards.
  • Maintain required dual credit instructor credentials in accordance with Ivy Tech Community College policies.

 

Qualifications:

Ivy Tech Accounting Program Standard

  • Possesses an earned master’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution in accounting; or
  • Possesses an earned related or out-of-field master’s degree, from a regionally accredited institution, with documented 18 post-secondary semester hours or equivalent of courses in accounting beyond the introductory principle(s) level.

Ivy Tech Business Administration Program Standard (Effective February 2019)

  • Possesses an earned master’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution in business administration, business education, public administration, management, marketing, or a business administration-related field as appropriate to the program; or
  • Possesses an earned related or out-of-field master’s degree, from a regionally accredited institution, with documented 18 post-secondary semester/27 quarter credit hours or equivalent of courses beyond the introductory principle(s) level in business administration, public administration, management, marketing, or a business administration-related field as appropriate to the program.
