Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join our school community. As a teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire and guide students in a positive and supportive learning environment. You will be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans, delivering high-quality instruction, and fostering a love of learning in students of diverse backgrounds and abilities. The ideal candidate will be committed to student growth, demonstrate effective communication skills, and work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the school administration. Being a charter school; we allow teachers the flexibility to teach to their students. If this means the teacher will take them outside to do a lesson? Great! We encourage hands-on, place-based learning.

  • Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based instruction aligned to state and district curriculum for all core subject areas.
  • Create a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that supports the academic, social, and emotional growth of all students.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners, including students with varying abilities, learning styles, and backgrounds.
  • Assess student learning regularly using a variety of formative and summative methods; use data to guide instruction and improve student outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress, attendance, and grades.
  • Implement classroom management strategies that promote positive behavior and maximize instructional time.
  • Collaborate with special education teachers, interventionists, and support staff to meet the needs of all students, including those with IEPs, 504 plans, and English language learners.
  • Communicate effectively and consistently with parents/guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and classroom activities.
  • Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and collaborative planning teams (PLCs).
  • Integrate technology effectively to enhance instruction and student engagement.
  • Follow all district policies, procedures, and state regulations.
  • Supervise students in a variety of settings, including classrooms, hallways, lunchrooms, recess, and field trips.
  • Foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and independent learning skills.
  • Prepare instructional materials and maintain an organized classroom environment.
  • Support school-wide initiatives, programs, and events.
  • Demonstrate innovative, outside-of-the-box thinking to design engaging and meaningful learning experiences for all students.
