Job Description
Job Title: SPANISH TEACHER (HIGH SCHOOL)
Contract: 2026-2027 School Year (190 Days)
JOB SUMMARY: QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION/LICENSURE/EXPERIENCE:
Valid Arkansas teaching license with a Spanish 7-12 (or eligibility to obtain). Teachers with experience are valued; however, no prior experience is required.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Successful completion of pre-employment background checks
Appropriate personal and professional conduct at all times around students, other staff members and the general public
Essential functions of the job may include but are not limited to the following:
Teach Spanish courses aligned with Arkansas state standards and district curriculum.
Prepare lesson plans and instructional materials that are engaging, relevant, and differentiated to meet the needs of all students.
Utilize a variety of instructional methods and technology tools to support diverse learning styles and enhance student engagement.
Promote problem-solving, critical thinking, and collaboration through individual and group projects. Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance; assess learning using both formative and summative assessments.
Support students with IEPs, 504s, ELL, G/T, and other learning needs through appropriate modifications and accommodations.
Create a positive, safe, and orderly classroom environment that supports learning and student development.
Engage with the local business community to explore guest speakers, internship opportunities, or real-world project partnerships.
Communicate regularly with students, parents, and staff to foster strong school-home connections.
Attend and participate in faculty meetings, school activities, and professional development as required.
Collaborate with colleagues to plan instruction, align assessments, and support student success.
Uphold district policies and professional expectations; participate in school-wide initiatives
Other duties as assigned
Other functions of the job include but are not limited to the following:
Abide by state statutes, school board policies and regulations.
Attend meetings and perform duties as assigned by administrators or supervisors.
Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy and administrative regulation.
