ESL Secondary Teacher

Grades: 5-12

Contract: 195 days

Reports to the ESL Supervisor

Certified teacher

ESL endorsement required

Bilingual in Spanish preferred

Duties:

Completes LPACs (required language plans, much like IEPs) for ESL and LMS students.

Creates the LEP plans for each student in the system.

Completes LPAC revision paperwork and revision meetings.

Assists with failure conferences and paperwork.

Conducts annual reviews for each building.

Monitors grades.

Pushes in to assist instruction for Language Academy classes.

Provides supplemental ESL services for 5th-12th grade.

Models sound ESL instructional strategies and provides ESL PD on teaching methods.

Assists with new student screening and ELPA21 assessment.
