Jonesboro Public Schools is accepting applications for an English Learner Teacher.

Specific Requirements for the English Learner (EL) specialist:

Must have an ESL Endorsement
Must possess an Arkansas Teaching License
Minimum of 3 years of successful teaching experience
Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of best practices in education for K-12 English Learners;
Develop and present effective lessons to promote the English Language Development of English Learners.
Maintain and ensure accuracy of records of English Language Learners
Develop and present professional development for classroom teachers, administrators and instructional support staff focused on supporting a diverse population including English Learners.
Model, coach and support implementation of lessons and instructional strategies and assist teachers with supporting a diverse population including English Learners.

Additional general job expectations/requirements:

Experience working with families, students, or speakers of other languages
Ability to communicate and work well with diverse populations, and willingness and ability to adhere to the statewide procedures and standards.
Demonstrates efficient utilization of current technology for communication, data collection, and reporting;
Submits all required documentation and data in a timely manner;
Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills
Must maintain strict confidentiality
