Elementary Classroom Teacher
Location: Carlisle School District
Contract Length: 190 Days
Reports To: Principal

Job Goal:
Provide standards-based instruction aligned to the Arkansas Academic Standards and district curriculum. Deliver high-quality, evidence-based instruction grounded in the Science of Reading to meet the diverse needs of all students.

Qualifications:

Valid Arkansas teaching license or acceptance into a DESE-approved Alternative Licensure Program in K-6 Elementary Education

Knowledge of the Science of Reading

Completion of, or willingness to obtain, required R.I.S.E. credentials

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Performance Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver standards-based instruction

Implement systematic literacy instruction aligned to the Science of Reading

Differentiate instruction to meet student needs

Assess and monitor student progress

Maintain a safe and effective classroom environment

Communicate with parents/guardians regularly

Participate in professional development and collaborative planning

Maintain accurate records in compliance with requirements

Integrate instructional technology

Demonstrate professionalism and flexibility

Perform other duties as assigned

Terms of Employment:
190-day contract in accordance with district policy and salary schedule.

Evaluation:
Performance evaluated per district policy and Arkansas Department of Education guidelines.

Bachelor degree preferred.
