Position Overview

Bay High School is seeking a professional and motivated Business Education Teacher to lead our Career and Technical Education (CTE) business track. This role is responsible for equipping students with practical skills in technology, finance, and professionalism. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between classroom theory and real-world workforce requirements.

Primary Responsibilities

Curriculum Delivery: Execute lesson plans aligned with Arkansas Department of Career Education standards.

CTSO Leadership: Serve as the advisor for the local chapter of FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America), including coordinating competitive events and community service.

Industry Certifications: Facilitate student testing for recognized credentials (e.g., Microsoft Office Specialist, QuickBooks, or Southwest Airlines Professional Communications).

Advisory Committee: Collaborate with local business leaders to ensure the program meets regional workforce needs.

Requirements

Licensure: Valid Arkansas Professional Teaching License in Business Education (4-12) or Business Technology.

Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and emerging business software.

Professionalism: Ability to model and teach "soft skills," including workplace ethics, communication, and interview techniques.
