Job Description

High-Quality Educators (K–12)  2026–2027 School Year

Arkansas Lighthouse Charter Schools

At Arkansas Lighthouse Charter Schools, we engage, embrace, and empower every scholar, every voice, every day.

We are currently seeking highly qualified, mission-driven educators for the 2026–2027 school year across Kindergarten through Grade 12, including Advanced Placement (AP) courses at the secondary level.

We are being intentional in our search for strong instructional leaders who are prepared to teach within their certified content areas and, when needed, across appropriate grade bands in alignment with student needs and school design.

Who We Are

Arkansas Lighthouse Charter Schools exists to create a vibrant, supportive local ecosystem through education. Our scholars are academically sound, technologically savvy, culturally competent, and sustainability-conscious.

We believe:

Healthy relationships fuel academic risk-taking.

Explicit literacy instruction is foundational.

Mastery and graduation are byproducts of scholar agency.

Growth mindset applies to adults as much as scholars.

Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking educators who:

Hold appropriate Arkansas licensure in their content area(s)

Demonstrate deep content expertise (including AP-level rigor where applicable)

Are prepared to teach across grade levels within their certification area when student needs require it

Deliver explicit, research-based instruction

Use data to inform planning and intervention

Foster curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration

Believe in building scholar agency — not just compliance

Thrive in a collaborative, feedback-rich culture of continuous improvement

We are strategically identifying highly effective educators who are adaptable, skilled in vertical alignment, and prepared to contribute meaningfully across our K–12 continuum.

Responsibilities May Include:

Teaching assigned courses aligned to Arkansas Academic Standards

Delivering Advanced Placement coursework (for qualified secondary candidates)

Contributing to cross-grade content alignment

Participating in professional learning communities

Supporting literacy integration across disciplines

Engaging families as partners in scholar growth

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated record of student growth

Experience teaching AP or dual credit courses (secondary applicants)

Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills

Experience in data-driven instructional planning

Commitment to culturally responsive teaching

What You’ll Find at Arkansas Lighthouse Charter Schools:

A mission-centered school community

Clear academic expectations

Professional growth rooted in feedback and reflection

Collaborative leadership

Scholars who are challenged to think, solve, and communicate at high levels

If you are a high-performing educator who is ready to activate scholar potential and contribute to a dynamic, growing K–12 charter school network, we encourage you to apply.
