Job Description
Aspiring Medical Professionals Facilitator
F.L.S.A. Exempt
Park Hill Aspiring Medical Professionals provides students with the opportunity to connect classroom learning with career exploration. Aspiring Medical Professionals Facilitators combine professional-based classroom learning with internship experiences throughout the healthcare industry.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must hold proper educator certification according to the state of Missouri
REPORTS TO: Director of Educational Programs
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: New teachers 190 days; returning teachers 186 days with benefits provided according to the Park Hill School District and Park Hill National Education Association Agreement.
JOB GOAL: To facilitate the learning process and professional experiences within the Aspiring Medical Professionals coursework.
Understand and bridge the culture of education and the healthcare industry.
Employs a variety of effective instructional strategies to assist students within the Aspiring Medical Professionals coursework and off-site professional experiences.
Assists in the recruitment, development and retention of healthcare partners that result in the following investments:
Aspiring Medical Professionals curriculum review and design, inclusive of project-, problem-, and professional-based learning.
Guest speakers
Guest Learning Facilitators
Rotations
Student certifications and trainings
Monitors student progress and adjusts instruction or professional mentorship accordingly.
Develops and manages effective communication strategies with students, parents, and partners.
Manages supervision of students in the adherence to business ethics expectations, i.e. professionalism, dress code, attendance, behavior, and code of conduct.
Works collaboratively with other staff and students to develop a student-centered climate for growth within an innovative environment.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
Abides by Missouri statutes, school board policies and regulations.
Attends meetings and performs duties as assigned by administrators or supervisors.
Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy and administrative regulation.
Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
SKILLS are required to perform multiple, highly complex, technical tasks with a need to occasionally upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skill-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include adhering to safety practices and procedures; analyzing data; applying assessment instruments; classifying data and/or information; comparing results; conducting meetings; preparing and maintaining accurate records; and using pertinent software applications.
KNOWLEDGE is required to perform basic math, including calculations using fractions, percents, and/or ratios; review and interpret highly technical information, write technical materials, and/or speak persuasively to implement desired actions; and analyze situations to define issues and draw conclusions. Specific knowledge-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include codes/laws/rules/regulations/policies; knowledge of community resources; safety practices and procedures; school safety and security practices; stages of child development; and treatment modalities.

Responsibility
Responsibilities include working under limited supervision using standardized practices and/or methods; leading, guiding, and/or coordinating others; operating within a defined budget. Working Environment
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires 40% sitting, 30% walking, and 30% standing. The job is performed under conditions with some exposure to risk of injury and/or illness.
